FCA officially unveiled the much anticipated, hellcat-powered 6.2L Supercharged V8 Ram 1500 TRX on Monday, August 17th! Fiat-Chrysler can add another notch to their belt for yet another fastest production-built vehicle.
This jurassic beast, the TRX (T-Rex) was named with one thing in mind, to be a Raptor-killer. From the looks of it, the pickup will live up to its name. The super-charged V8 boasts 702 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque directly from the factory and swiftly leaves its competition in its rear view mirrors. With a top speed of 118 MPH, a 0-60 time of only 4.5 seconds, it leaves the 450HP turbocharged v6 Ford F-150 Raptor in the dust. Like most special-edition Mopar-produced vehicles, FCA likes to make there numbers special. Therefore, there will only be 702 Launch-Edition TRX's produced in the United States, another 100 will be allocated for the Canadian Market. Each TRX Ram will be given a customized center console plate that will be installed on the armrest with the vehicle's motor / supercharger specs, as well as the vehicle's horsepower, VIN and boost.
Like other Hellcat-powered Mopars, the TRX will be the first Ram-1500 to have paddleshifters, launch control, and access to the exclusive "performance pages" options. You will be able to view your built-in dyno to see how many of the 702 horses you are using, as well as G-force and vehicle dynamics (steering angle and wheel articulation).
The TRX is also equipped with specified drive modes, allowing you to drive through just about anything with ease. Pick between snow-mode, mud/sand mode, rock-mode, sport-mode, or even make your own customized mode! The TRX will be sure to get you through whatever stand in your way with industry-exclusive Bilstein Black Hawk E2 shocks.
The TRX will officially be available for order on August 24th, 2020, and will begin showing up in dealerships in the forth quarter of 2020.
